This is a musical reflection of a show I did in Columbia, SC in 1979 on the "Neon Dreams" tour...For one day I was a "star"

Like an electric wave…The sun came up
Beginnings of a perfect day
I met the Mayor…Got the key to the city
And everybody knew my name
Jim Squire had played my record for two full weeks
I was toast of the town…On a neon eve
We hit the first chord everybody started singing
The words right along with me

A tour de force in the spotlights glowing
All that I was hoping for
Livin’ the dream with my eyes wide open
I couldn’t have asked for more…Tour de force

I took a leap of faith and jumped in the crowd
Jammin’ for some happy faces
Lost in the moment…So I wasn’t thinking
How would I get back on stage?
That’s when I saw the trail boss waving his arms
Larry said “come on” with a helping hand
I dove thru the air as I felt him reaching
He flew me back into the band
