I have never served in the military, but my Daddy did. He was in the South Pacific during WWII. I have a real gratitude for all of the men and women who have fought and are still fighting for our freedom every day...I am glad to see more appreciation for their service today.

I saw President Kennedy speak for the Convocation at Vanderbilt University in 1963. I was in the 4th grade; It made a real impression that still remains today. I still love my country and pray for it to be blessed...
