We got main street and wall street
and easy street and sleazy street
But what about the little guy who’s livin’ on the back street
He’s runnin’ outta hope, and she’s runnin’ outta time
And everybody lies, and everybody lies!!

Well I grew up in the ‘60s when they used to call up Hippies
And we spent our time singin’ ‘bout
peace, love, and brotherhood
But it didn’t do us any good ‘cause
Hippies turned to Yuppies
Now it’s all about the money,
and it’s all about the money!!!

Now we’ve all got kids, and they’re internet savvy
But they’re all unhappy ‘cause they just want everything
And they can’t get anything ‘cause there ain’t no jobs
So they live like slobs and become an angry mob!!

Now some of my friends had four O one Ks
But they dwindled all away ‘cause somebody stole the money ‘Cause the top dogs always take advantage of the dreamers
‘Cause they’re liars and they’re schemers
still payin’ for their beamers!!




I’m gettin’ so sick an’ tired of people
whinin’ ‘bout their problems
‘Cause together we could solve ‘em
if the priests and politicians
Would just make some good decisions
and then tell us all the truth
But they all keep lyin’, and we ALL keep lyin’!!
