A HUM IN MY BRAIN

By Mychael John Thomas

Lately I’ve been having strange thoughts
Been spending way too much time alone
And I try to make it better for naught
Getting harder to go on
And my mind is getting cloudy
And I’m talking to myself
I have questioned my reality
Till I have no answers left

CHORUS
I see faces in the shadows
It could make a crazy man go insane
I hear voices in the attic
Or is it just a hum in my brain

Maybe I think somebody told me
That if I think then therefore I am
But I think nobody really knows me
And all this thinking is wearin’ me down
But sometimes I hear the music
Like a symphony in my head
And I know if I don’t use it
Then I might as well be dead

CHORUS

BRIDGE
So I turn it up loud…try to drown in the sound
Instead of my misery
I won’t give in…to the fear that is tempting me
To give up completely

CHORUS
