1970 (The Legend Of FELT) By Mychael John Thomas We started jamming in daddy’s garage Played so loud that the cops came by They didn’t shut us down ‘cause we sounded so good Just hung around and we jammed all night Lynn McCrosky was working real late The cool sound made him wanna take a break He came to check out the FELT boys band We were laying it down just right He said fellas I think you’re gonna be stars You gotta make a demo if you wanna go far I remember it all like yesterday It helped make us who we are CHORUS So let’s play it again like 1970 Starry eyed rockers with a teenage dream Thought we held the world by the tail And we could do anything Let’s start a fire like 1970 Sky was the limit in the music scene And even after all these years We know what it means to be free…like 1970 It was better than the summer of love Thought we were gonna change the world Everybody was ready for something The only way we could go was up Bob Tubert loved the demo tape We thought everything was going great They made a record of the FELT boys band But that was the only one Mykey got busted and he did some time And when I got out I didn’t have no rhymes One different choice could’ve changed it all We just couldn’t read the signs CHORUS BRIDGE When love was free And war was bad But I cherish every memory Of the times we had… CHORUS ©2012 Mychael John Thomas

I’ll take you down with me So you can see what it’s like I’m going to…take you down ©2011 Mychael John Thomas BMI

Innocence 02:43
Innocence By Mychael John Thomas Thinking of all the things I’ve done Makes me so ashamed of my life Seeing you in this state of mind Makes me wanna lay down and die CHORUS Something pure is lost What can take me back to innocence? As a child inhibitions were feelings That I didn’t know Now I’m grown and the darkness Keeps following wherever I go CHORUS Help me find a way Lord please take me back to innocence… Innocence SOLO This would be such a perfect world If we all had never known sin But we know that corruption and evil Are what made this begin CHORUS But I still have hope That I may return to innocence…innocence… Innocence…innocence ©2012 Mychael John Thomas

OCCUPY YOURSELF By Mychael John Thomas This ain’t the sixties…it ain’t no Woodstock Just bitchin’ so you get it on the news It looks to me like just another angry mob Sooner or later everybody’s gotta choose CHORUS ‘Cause when it’s done only one thing left You only got the power to occupy yourself I’ve seen it all since I was just a young buck People screamin’ ‘bout money ‘bout war But politics still the same and it really sucks Do you know what you’re fighting for? CHORUS BRIDGE You get angry ‘cause you’ve got no control See it like it is find peace for you soul Just live your life that’s all you can do ‘Cause ain’t nothin’ gonna change but you You got complaints…but do you have an answer? If you tear it down can you build somthin’ back? You better think about what you’re really after Before you go off leading the attack CHORUS TAG When you find only time gonna tell You only got the power to occupy yourself ©2011 Mychael John Thomas

SOUNDS OF BROTHERHOOD By Mychael John Thomas I didn’t know you were coming You just showed up one night And added your part to my songs I thought were already all just right… But it changed my life forever As only friendship can The music was our bond Hey it was the 60s man CHORUS It was the sounds of brotherhood We played it loud! It Felt so good And we’d all bring you back today If we only could…to hear you play Your sounds of brotherhood They labeled us a “hippy band” But still we carried on And when our friends went to Vietnam We honored them in song We sang about our freedom And held our freak flags high ‘Cause peace and love were in our hearts And that will never die CHORUS SOLO And we said…One for all and all for one The night ain’t over till the band gets done One for all and all for one We don’t stop playin’ till we’ve had our fun CHORUS Yea we were brothers We miss you Allen : ) ©2011 Mychael John Thomas BMI

ENDANGERED SPECIES By Mychael John Thomas I am just a poet of musical impressionism The most endangered species is the human organism As a boy in school they made us study communism Told us it was evil we should practice capitalism Then somewhere along the way we went to war with Islam Kinda like we came and drove our bothers from their wigwams I am just a poet of musical impressionism The most endangered species is the human organism CHORUS The whole world teeters on the brink of insanity Send up a prayer…is there hope for humanity? The whole world teeters on the brink of insanity Send up a prayer…is there hope for humanity? It’s the day of the entrepreneur got moguls in garages With the right accountant corporate taxes you’ll be dodging Work the internet and soon the buyers start responding Make ‘em feel the need so you get psychological bonding Pay the politicians get a break when they’re campaigning When they get in office then you start with your complaining No one got the answer but the God who lives in Heaven The most endangered species is the Human organism CHORUS The whole world teeters on the brink of insanity Send up a prayer…is there hope for humanity? The whole world teeters on the brink of insanity Send up a prayer…is there hope for humanity? BREAK DOWN/SOLO Everybody say “Gimme some!” Greed becomes the master And the more we beat that drum we’re headed for disaster Every time a kid go to school with a gun he thinks he’s got the answer Just until he shoots someone and meets his ever after It ain’t happily…just the price you pay to be the dancer To the Devil’s tune he plays for one more take a chancer I am just a poet of musical impressionism The most endangered species is the human organism CHORUS The whole world teeters on the brink of insanity Send up a prayer…is there hope for humanity? The whole world teeters on the brink of insanity Send up a prayer…is there hope for humanity? (repeat) ©2012 Mychael John Thomas

PEACE…A JOURNEY By Tommy Gilstrap, Stan Lee, Michael Neel, And Mychael John Thomas I. There’s a safe place in your heart Where you can hide when your world is torn apart And when you’re asking if wars will ever cease? Look inside…find your peace There is only love and hate And until the day you die it’s not too late To make the choice your anger to release Look inside…find your peace BRIDGE There are no simple answers To the questions in your mind You can only cling to any truth you find For this life is just a journey And an opportunity To pursue the higher calling…to be free (Instrumental Bridge) II. Freedom fighters run wild in the street Another bloody day A brand new regime but the same old song Hit fast and run away God and Allah facing off! Forty virgins drool! It’s the fight of the new millennium And we all play the fool! I know the way!...No follow me! These voices in our ears Scream for submission and play on our fears Shout out to the top of your lungs!!! Nobody hears… (Instrumental Bridge) III. Pick your candidate-left or right Weapons up and get in the fight Get your rifle! Get your pen! Lights! Camera! Action wins! We’ll all be rich when the oil gets cheap! Platform, stump, it all gets deep The voice of reason won’t be heard Drowned in all these eloquent words CHORUS God is love! God is war! It’s just Heaven we’re fighting for! God is love! God is war! It’s just Heaven we’re fighting for! IV. BRIDGE There are no simple answers To the questions in your mind You can only cling to any truth you find For this life is just a journey And an opportunity To receive the higher calling and be free CHORUS There’s a blessing or a curse And the failure to decide is all the worse But the grasp is well within the reach Look inside (There's a safe place in your heart... When the world gets torn apart) Look inside (When you're asking if the wars will cease) Find your peace ©2012 Mychael John Thomas BMI

Sorry Song 04:02
SORRY SONG By Mychael John Thomas I was angry as a young man Trying hard to handle feelings That I couldn’t understand So I lashed out!…at everyone around me Now maybe God has made an opportunity (To say) CHORUS I am sorry…that I hurt you For all my careless words and thoughtless actions And the truth is I have no good excuses But maybe you can find it in your heart To forgive me…I am sorry I was lonely…and I was searching While surrounded by so many Loving people in my life But it sacred me so I built a wall around me Until I found true love then I could finally see CHORUS Now I am sorry…that I hurt you For all my careless words and thoughtless actions And the truth is I have no good excuses But maybe you can find it in your heart To forgive me…I am sorry SOLO And the truth is I really had to do this Even if you never find it in your heart To forgive me… CHORUS I am sorry…that I hurt you For all my careless words and thoughtless actions But the truth is…I only have excuses here So I’m hoping you will find it in your heart To forgive me…I am sorry…I am sorry ©2012 Mychael John Thomas

about

This is all new material recorded in 2011 and 2012 by the original line up of FELT (1971): Michael Neel - Drums, Tommy Gilstrap - Bass & Vocals, Stan Lee (not the comic bk guy, and not of The Dickies) - Guitar & Vocals. and Mychael John Thomas, formerly known as Myke Jackson, who changed his name due to obvious reasons. Sadly, Allen Dalrymple - Keyboards, lost his life in a car accident in the early 70s...

I played keys on the album and tried to stay as faithful to the "spirit of Allen D." as possible...We all hope you enjoy this reunion music. We were young again for a time...Mychael John Thomas, aka "Mykey" : )
