I wrote the lyrics first, and the music came after the fact. I wrote verse one and the chorus late one night and finished the rest of it the next night. Unlike most of my songs I did not change a word. The song is basically about how most writer's minds work...They really NEVER stop. I tried to reflect that in the music as well... : )

Thoughts are racing in my head
But the more I try to let ‘em be
Only sends a melody
Can’t leave nothing left unsaid

Every time I think I’m done
Something really turns me on
Then my brain is working overtime
Looking for a perfect line
Soon I’m gonna sing that song

Here comes the hook…It sure feels good
Pounding out the rhythm like a Rock Guru
Won’t make a penny…Probably won’t reach many
But I got nothin’ better to do…

Pushing till I’m nearly dead
I oughta go to sleep instead
But every note is magically
Touching what we never see
Burning like a worn out tread

Every word is just sublime
Leading me to another rhyme
Flowing thru the artistry
To another music stream
For the hearing ears to find

I suppose I should get on with a point
But I don’t know if I’ve got anything relevant to say
The spirit is willing but it all comes out
Just endless synapses pouring out on a page

Like Picasso or Van Gogh I’m driven to express
Some illusive inner vision of my heart
The notes are my colours and music my canvas
What picture shall I paint to impart?
